Lucy is a sub-project of the members of the Pisoni family, winemaking and grapegrowing pioneers in the Santa Lucia Highlands AVA in Central California. Cool winds blow down the valley from Monterey, prolonging the growing season and resulting in grapes that bring great complexity and presence to whichever wine they're used in. With the Lucy Rosé of Pinot Noir, they use whole cluster pressing for the light, crisp, and elegant component blended with a saignée of Pinot Noir (where juice is bled off early in the process, resulting in a pale salmon color) that adds a silky richness to the finish. Truly delicious wine, it's swell when combined with warm summer weather or alongside any light protein dish you'd want to dive into. 

One additional really cool thing about Lucy is that a portion of the sales proceeds is donated to local causes supporting breast cancer research, ocean conservancy, and the Big Sur Fire Department. Wonderful people, wonderful wine...
