A vivid grapefruit bouquet delivers a zesty punch, balanced by the sweetness of Trolli peach rings and a hint of freshly cut grass, adding a subtle herbaceous note to ground the wine.
So Far Out winery specializes in 100% organic and 100% Santa Barbara County wines.
The tasting room is located in Alisos Canyon, near Los Alamos.
Their goal is to push boundaries, explore new flavors, and think outside the box.
Andrew Jones, Mike Testa and Jamil Williams started this brand after years of brainstorming. Andrew started brewing wine in his attic at Cal Poly SLO, and that curiosity flourished into his own acclaimed wine brand, Field Recordings. Mike is a fifth-generation farmer from Santa Maria who carefully selects their vineyards and focuses his personal properties on growing organic grapes and providing sustainable, high-quality fruit to the local wine industry. Jamil started his career at the Blue Hill Wine shop before moving to California to take part in the blooming food and wine scene in San Francisco and Los Angeles where he met Andrew and eventually their dream came to life. The trio imagined a brand that pushes the limits creatively and puts the fun back into wine tasting. A brand you can share with your friends and family.
They pride themselves on being “so far out” from where they were just a few years ago and it got Jamil got him thinking of how “so far out” he could take a wine brand and the name was born.
