Since the mid-1990s, this sustainably farmed vineyard has been preparing for a new chapter, now written under the name Brave & Maiden Estate. The name is inspired by the “Legend of Nojoqui” (pronounced Naw-ho-wee), a local tale of star-crossed lovers who chose death over separation—a story of profound devotion that mirrors their commitment to crafting exceptional wines.

Since 2011, their flagship red blend, Union, has showcased this dedication. This unique wine combines the Rhône varietal Syrah with Bordeaux classics Merlot and Cabernet Franc. Together, these grapes create a blend that highlights the strengths of their estate and the Santa Ynez Valley.
