The picturesque hills near Marezige and Truške, located 5 km from the Adriatic Sea’s Gulf of Trieste, host the Rodica family vineyards at 250-350 meters above sea level. These terraced, south-facing vineyards benefit from significant day-night temperature swings and constant breezes, keeping them well-ventilated and naturally healthy for organic farming. The limestone-rich soil forces vines to work hard for water, enhancing grape quality.

Certified organic. Every second vineyard row is left unplanted and covered with grass. Only natural fertilizers from manure are used, and the vineyards are maintained without irrigation.

Hand-harvested grapes undergo a quick 1-hour maceration, ferment naturally, and age for 12 months in stainless steel tanks. For secondary fermentation, unfermented Refošk from the next harvest is added, and the wine continues fermenting in bottles with crown caps. The wine is not disgorged, leaving the "col fondo" sediment.
